I was recently speaking to a client who was having trouble in a few areas of their life. They felt like they were behind with their work, felt constantly burnt-out from all of the social events this year, their children were struggling being at school (causing issues at home) and overall, felt over-stimulated, under-appreciated and incredibly, incredibly stressed.
When we took a trip down memory lane, we recognised that these were all things that started to arise post lockdown.
So, life had essentially gone ‘back to normal’ when COVID was a thing of the past (mostly), but we are living a new normal… most of us didn’t go back to the lives we lived before COVID. I certainly didn’t.
We have had to re-adjust to life. We are incredibly lucky to be able to get back to work, attend social events, see friends and to send our kids back to school. But it’s all new to us again. We spent so long living an isolated and mostly boring life and now we’re playing catch-up.
