The 5% rule
I have a 5% rule.
Whenever I'm doing something, I ask how I can add 5% to it and really challenge myself to do it.
Sometimes this means using heavier weights at the gym. Sometimes it's writing one extra paragraph. Sometimes it's staying 5 minutes longer at the park with my kids. Sometimes it's sending one extra email when I'm getting ready to end my day. Sometimes it's letting myself sleep in longer than feels comfortable. Sometimes it's cleaning one more thing.
Whatever it is in life, I ask if I can add 5% to it and then I do. This allows me to push myself to new levels, experience life in a different light and be more productive!
