For some of us, we have spent years without self-love.

We have looked in the mirror and not known the person looking back. We have picked on our appearances. We have hidden our body away. We have kept our authentic selves to ourselves. We have avoided doing, creating, being and living a life that genuinely feels good.

Undoing all of that takes time. Forgiving ourselves takes time. Letting the past go takes time. When we've lived a life like this for years, it can take a little while to find true, unconditional self-love and that's okay.

There's no race or rush. One day, soon enough, you will look in a mirror and absolutely love the person looking back at you. You'll love her confidence, personality, authenticity, growth and appearance.

Self-love may not happen overnight, but it does happen so please don't give up.

Join me in Mindful Self to learn the basics of supporting your mental health and wellbeing, including how to begin the journey to true, deep and authentic self-love.
