Counselling is self-care.
Counselling or coaching can and should absolutely be part of your mental health treatment plan, but it can also simply be something you choose to do because you're ready for change. You're wanting to process things from the past and let them go. You're desiring self-awareness and support. You're wanting more from life.
You don't need to be suffering with your mental health to seek counselling. Counselling is beneficial for every single person on this planet. I truly, wholeheartedly believe that.
And my favourite sessions are when clients tell me how wonderful everything is going for them, because that means there's no surface level stuff to talk about, we can go deeper and that's where the real magic comes up.
