releasing perfectionism & embracing 'good enough'

Newcastle Australian Holistic Counsellor & Wellbeing Coach

Perfectionism can be a sneaky block for biz owners. It’s that inner voice insisting every detail has to be flawless, every project perfectly polished before it’s shared with the world. But the truth is, perfectionism holds us back, keeping us locked in preparation and fear instead of action and growth.

Imagine, for just a second, releasing the need to be perfect and embracing “good enough.” This doesn’t mean settling for mediocrity. Instead, it’s about accepting progress over perfection, knowing that the value you provide doesn’t need to be flawless to be impactful. When you can allow “good enough” to be your guide, you free yourself from the endless spiral of tweaking and waiting. This shift opens up more time and energy to pour into your business, connect with clients, and grow with purpose.

As a business mentor, I see so many biz owners putting off launches, second-guessing their offers, or holding back on their messaging, all because they’re waiting for the “perfect” moment. But that moment might never arrive. And while you’re waiting, you’re holding back your magic from the people who need it right now.

I want to encourage you to take one step toward letting go of perfection. Share that offer, even if it’s still evolving. Publish that post, even if it feels a bit vulnerable. Follow-up on that client, even if you’re scared. With each step, you’re building momentum, confidence, and trust within yourself and your business.

Done is better than perfect. Embrace the power of good enough in your biz, and watch as it creates more space for connection, growth, and fulfillment. Your business deserves it, and more importantly, so do you.
