There are moments in business where I look back and realise how far I’ve come and I know my younger self would be proud of the lessons I’ve learned along the way. She would be proud that I stopped shrinking myself to fit into spaces that never felt right. She would be proud that I learned to trust my voice, my timing, and my capacity instead of forcing myself into strategies that didn’t feel like me. She would be proud that I no longer hustle for worthiness, because I finally understand that worth has nothing to do with output.

One of the lessons she’d be proudest of is learning to let go of misaligned clients. For a long time, I carried the belief that I had to say yes to everyone, even when it didn’t feel right. I told myself it was the “nice” thing to do or the helpful thing or the sustainable thing. But the truth is, saying yes when your whole body says no serves no one. Letting go of a misaligned client isn’t just in my highest good. It’s also in theirs. They deserve someone who feels like the right fit for where they are, and I deserve to work in integrity with what I can genuinely hold.

Another lesson she’d be proud of is realising I don’t actually need to build a multi million dollar business to feel successful. For a long time, I thought that was the goal. I thought growth had to be big, constant and measurable. But I’ve learned that I don’t truly want that. I want a business that feels good. One that supports my life instead of consuming it. One that allows me to be present with my family, honour my health, and stay connected to myself.

She’d be proud that I no longer chase numbers that don’t matter to me and instead choose a version of success that feels genuine, aligned, and human. She’d be proud that I now protect my energy, honour my intuition, and choose alignment over fear. Proud that I built a business from a place of integrity instead of urgency. Proud that I’ve learned to lead gently, firmly, and with a deeper trust in myself than I ever thought possible.

And most of all, she’d be proud that I didn’t abandon myself to succeed. That I’ve built something that feels honest, sustainable, and rooted in who I truly am.
