saying buh-bye to decision fatigue

We live in a hustle culture. There’s no denying it. People are absolutely run off of their feet with to-do lists, busyness and unrealistic expectations.

But I’m fighting back with saying goodbye to decision fatigue.

Each day, I (and most likely you too) have hundreds, possibly thousands to decisions to make both personally and professionally. Some are small decisions such as “what do I wear to work today” and some are larger such as “should I sell my house”.

By the end of the day, I’m done with making decisions. I’m tired and usually don’t want to think about another thing anymore. So, I’m fighting decision fatigue with simply making less decisions. Here’s how:

  • Meal planning so I don’t need to consider what is for each meal

  • I create routines so I (and the kids) know what’s coming up next

  • I put everything into the calendar and book everything in advance so I don’t need to think about what needs to be booked or added in

  • I have direct debit set up on all bills (though I do check them still)

  • I ask my partner to make the decision for me

  • I auto schedule all of my content on social media (so I planned this post a few days ago)

  • Decluttered like crazy so I have less things to distract myself with
