My beliefs were challenged today.
I was speaking with somebody who made comments about many, many practises I personally use such as meditation, reiki and inner child healing.
I was questioned on the validity of them and asked how I could ‘believe’ in such things. This individual put me down about my beliefs, the things that support my own wellbeing and a lot of the work I do with clients.
I walked away from this interaction feeling really f*cking confused and a little hurt. It took a hour for me to recognise that these practises aren’t for us all and that’s okay, but they are still for me.
Today, I was challenged in my own faith in the practises that I know support me and my wellbeing and today, I chose to continue to believe in the things that work for me.
Is there something you’ve been avoiding doing, experiencing or leaning into because of somebody else’s beliefs?
